This is a two-part film project. The first part premiered on September 17, 2021, then second part was planned to premiere on April 22, 2022. The project’s tagline is: “Let’s go to the top of the glory”. The first film revenue $4,755,182.
The story is about Nanase Haruka, who always likes to be immersed and swim in the water. Before finishing elementary school, he participated in a swimming tournament with friends in his club, including Tachibana Makoto, Hazuki Nagisa, and Matsuoka Rin. After received the prize, each of them chose their own path. As time passed, in the midst of the peaceful days of high school life, Rin appeared and challenged Haruka, showing Haruka his overwhelming power. This is not what Haruka wants, he then reunites with Makoto and Nagisa, along with a new member is Rei, to form the Iwatobi High School swimming club to defeat Rin.
Free! is a Japanese anime television series produced by Kyoto Animation and Animation Do. The story is about the Iwatobi High School Swimming Club consisting of three TV anime seasons that aired in 2013, 2014, and 2018. ‘Free! The Final Stroke’ is also a part of the series.
