Joji Yanami has worked as voice actor for many anime characters in his life. His most memorable work is in ‘Dragon Ball’ anime series written by Akira Toriyama.
According to SportsSkeeda, the artist’s agency Aoni Production announced on 14 December. In their statement, the agency expressed their “deepest grateful” to the late artist for his “kind-hearted attitude” during his life.
He also appeared in many other famous series, including “Digimon Adventure” as Gennai, “Mazinger Z” as Professor Gennosuke Yumi, and “One Piece” as Skypiea’s two-time God, Gan Fall.
His last voice roles are “Dragon Ball Super” and the movie “Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’” in 2015. However, since episode 12 of the series (which was aired on September 27, 2015), Yanami has dropped out from the work to get medical treatment for unknown illness. The voice actor was replaced by Naoki Tatsuta, according to Anime News Network.

We would like to express our deepest condolences for his family. Hope they will stay strong. May he rest in peace.
