Entertainment news site Cinema Today reported that the “Meitantei Conan: Halloween no Hanayome” project, the 25th movie in the famous Detective Conan movie series, has earned more than 24% of the daily revenue compared to the previous movie’s record.
Despite announcing a 24% increase in revenue compared to the previous project, Cinema Today did not provide specific statistics on the revenue of this 25th movie. Previously, the 24th movie project “Blue Sapphire Punch” earned 422 million yen in the first day, so this 25th movie project will be estimated at 523 million yen.
Conan’s film series production team also hopes this will be the series’ first project to hit the 10 billion yen mark.
The film is set in Shibuya on Halloween. At the Shibuya Hikarie building, a wedding ceremony is taking place. There, Miwako Sato was wearing a wedding dress. Suddenly, an intruder bursts in, and Wataru Takagi is injured while protecting Miwako. At the same time, the serial bomber criminal in the case three years ago killed Jinpei Matsuda. Rei Furuya, who was once Jinpei’s classmate at the police academy, runs off to track down the culprit, but a mysterious costumed man suddenly appears and attaches a bomb to his neck.
